Andy Smith

Managing Director

Hydralada Company was established in 1975 by Andy Smith. Andy is the Managing Director and continues to have a lot of input into the Company, both with day-to-day operations and design ideas for new machines.

Matthew Smith

General Manager

Matthew Smith has been with the Company since 1995 and is the General Manager.  Matthew focuses on Pellenc Viniculture Equipment and has daily contact with Pellenc in France. He is well known in the New Zealand vineyard and wine making industry.

Jason Smith

Sales Director

Jason has been working at Hydralada Company for 30 years accumulating a wealth of experience in many different areas of the business.  Today his involvement is predominately in Sales and Marketing.    He is also a Company Director and works closely with the management team to ensure the Company continues to prosper.

Dan Smith

Company Director

Dan plays a major role in scheduling the production of all new Hydralada Elevating Work Platforms and collaborates the manufacturing at the factory. As a Company Director, Dan has a lot to do with everyday operations, as well as some involvement in sales.

Company Director

Grants main focus is on sales and he looks after some of our key Dealers in both Australia and USA.  As a Director, Grant is very much involved in the operations of the Company and his responsibilities include many aspects of everyday administration.

Stephen Heap

Workshop Foreman

Stephen Heap is our Hastings workshop foreman.  Stephen’s background is in aircraft maintenance and logistics with 16 years experience in the RNZAF.   He takes care of  all technical inquiries and product support for Hydralada MEWP’s , Pellenc Vineyard Equipment, and Bandit Chippers.   You will find him friendly and approachable.

TECHNICIAN

A challenging role has become available at our Blenheim Branch for a qualified diesel technician with excellent skill levels in mechanical problem solving, hydraulic and electrical diagnosis. A high level of skill in mechanical and computerised diagnostics are essential to this role.

This is a busy role encompassing unsupervised field service work so previous experience would be an advantage. Great customer relation skills are essential. Our Pellenc product range of vineyard equipment, Bandit chippers and Hydralada fruit picking equipment is varied and seasonal providing variety to your work day.

A Top Rate of Pay will be available to a candidate who has the right skillset and can offer some flexibility around our busy harvest period.

Hydralada Company is a growing organisation who can offer career stability with some roles including benefits such as mobile phone, work vehicle, etc. Full initial product training will be provided followed by ongoing professional product training to expand your knowledge of the market leading equipment that Hydralada Company support.

Once trained to the required level, there can be the opportunity to participate in short term international work exchanges.
